Home Detail Our Favorite Martians & More: TV Alien Visitors We Loved
Mar 10, 2010 08:15 PM
ABC's remake of the alien invasion saga V is returning with more episodes -- and more ships! That's right, the Visitors are no longer just visiting, they're taking over. But aliens have been ruling our televisions for decades, so are we really that surprised? As a gesture of good will to our new alien overlords, here are some of our favorite alien visitors on TV, extra-terrestrials who once lived peacefully among us, but now permanently reside in our hearts.

Uncle Martin (My Favorite Martian)
Not a conqueror but an anthropologist, Exigius 12 1/2 crash-landed on Earth while studying mankind and was taken in by a reporter while he repaired his ship. He hid his vast array of mental and technological powers from other humans, but he could likely have enslaved us all single-handedly. Instead, he mostly transported historical figures through time and turned squirrels into people.

Gordon "ALF" Shumway (ALF)
One of the few survivors of the nuclear destruction of the planet Melmac, ALF also crash-landed on Earth, and although he was part of the planet's space fleet, he mostly just hung out with a human family as he repaired his ship, helped the kids with their homework and tried to eat their cat.
