Yesterday was a big day for TV! Can you believe that the Super Bowl raked in 106.5 million viewers, the largest audience in television history? No wonder I kept getting a busy signal while trying to reach Barney Stinson.

Good news for Sheryl Crow fans, bad news for Cougar Town fans: The singer has been given a major recurring role on the comedy.

An actor we do like? Christopher Loyd, who will be guest starring on Chuck! Where the writers are going with his storyline, they don't need roads.

ABC has picked up several familiar faces for its drama pilots. Friday Night Lights's Zach Gilford has joined the cast of Matadors, playing a guy in a forbidden relationship. The Shield star Michael Chiklis is set to lead in Greg Berlanti's No Ordinary Family, playing a dad with "special abilities." Typecast, much?

Jin -- I mean, Daniel Dae Kim -- has landed a new job as well. He'll be staying in Hawaii post-Lost, playing a lead role in CBS' Hawaii Five-0 reboot... that is, of course, if he ever makes it off the island! Dun dun dunnnnn!

FlashForward co-creator and showrunner David Goyer is stepping down from his position, though he'll still be "'involved' with the show." Is this the beginning of the end for the series?

And finally, MTV has officially stopped pretending: The network has removed the words "music television" from its tagline altogether.
